Our Team & Volunteers

Our team is dedicated to helping and rescuing as many animals as possible, each in a different capacity that compliments and helps the group as a whole.

Donate Today!

100% of your donation goes to help the animals that we rescue. This usually means paying medical bills, but it also means getting much needed supplies!

Sabrina - President & Founder

From a young age, animals just seemed to find Sabrina. She decided then that her goal in life was to help every animal in need.

As a paramedic, she found her calling to help both people and animals alike. The goal of K911 ResQ is to help every homeless, handicapped, discarded seniors and injured dogs that no one wants, rehabilitate them and find them a loving home.

The end goal is an animal sanctuary, where the animals that no one wants can live out their days in a loving environment.

Chris

Chris - Chief Financial Officer & K911 Air Ops Pilot

Chris is a dog lover, an EMT and a pilot.  He helps with the day to day operation of the rescue and is also helping to start our new division, K911 Rescue Air Ops!  He is hoping to fly animals across the country to get them out of harms way here in Los Angeles' high kill district.

Here is how he met his best friend Shadow.

"I had recently lost both of my dogs that I had for almost 15 years each so I was not ready to get another one.  Then one day on Facebook I received a link to a little Black and Tan dog that might be a Yorkie or Pomeranian mix. When I looked at his little face staring through the bars at the Baldwin Park Shelter I just knew that I needed to get him. The next day, a Saturday, I ran to the shelter and found him.  I breathed a sigh of relief because what I had been told online was that this little guy had missed the needle 5 times. For some reason people would reserve him for adoption but would never go actually adopt him.  I stood in line for over 2 hours to adopt.  They told me he needed to be neutered and I wouldn’t be able to pick him up until Monday. The rest of the weekend I was a mess not knowing if they may screw up and put him down.  First thing Monday morning I was in line again to get him. They told me he was in the medical wing and I was escorted by an animal control officer to his cage. When the officer opened the cage the little guy was so frightened not knowing what was in store for him.  I scooped him up and carried him out to the car where I clicked a leash on him. At that point a smile from ear to ear appeared where only fear sat before. He knew he was saved!

Our bond was instant and he followed me everywhere.  Because of this I called him my shadow, that and because when he curled up and wrapped his tail across his eyes he looked like the old radio show “The Shadow”. He never leaves my side and is my best friend."

Be a part of something bigger

Volunteering at K911 ResQ will do more than you know. It helps the animals that desperately need medical attention, transportation, a temporary home, or even just someone to show them they are loved.

We regularly rescue animals that have been neglected or abandoned, and many times they have medical needs that need to be addressed. As a volunteer you help lessen the burden. We don't require any special training or special skills, and anything you need to know we'll go over. The most important things we require are a love for animals, compassion, and a willingness to help us so we can turn around and help as many of them as possible.

How to help

As mentioned, we try to rescue as many animals as possible, but we have to operate within our means, and usually that's where being a volunteer makes the biggest impact. Between doctor visits, animal pick-up, fundraisers and adoption events, we have our hands full. A lot of times all we need is for people to show up and help us run these events so that everything runs smoothly.

We realize that being a volunteer is a big commitment, and there are many rescues who need help, so we appreciate your willingness to help us. It means the world to us, and more importantly, to them.

If you would like to talk with us about becoming a volunteer, please send us a message on our contact page.

Our Awesome Team

A lot of what we do wouldn't be possible without the help of these generous people.
